Episode 3: Worry, anxiety and stress…
Life is not easy. We experience the spectrum of human emotions for countless experiences daily. But for some us, we get stuck in the wilderness. We need to work to pull ourselves out. Breath the Word of God into your life and witness God’s love for you.
We live in a society riddled with anxiety, worry and stress, with fear as the root cause. It’s not a question of experiencing stress, worry, and anxiety, because that’s part of our human condition. The problem is when these all-consuming emotions stick around in our lives like unwelcome guests who just won’t leave us alone. To live in a habitual state of fear is not Christian. The living Bible tells us over and over to “FEAR NOT” for God, Our Father, is with us. Fear is not from God. Fear is a free gift from our enemy, satan. Speak God’s Words over your life and faithfully wait on God to bring you out of the wilderness.
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
“Fear not,
for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Just published on YouTube: We answer the question….what is the Christian Love Law?
Just published Episode 1 on YouTube explaining what is is the Christian Love Law and how to live it in today’s world.
What is the love Law? We live in a society of laws. Laws that govern driving, property and crimes to name a few. We also have social “laws” or rules for etiquette and manners when we connect with others in the work place, friends, family and people in our community. But there is one law much more important than all these laws or rules combined which was given to us thousands of years ago. We are taught in in the Old Testament, in the book of Deuteronomy 6:4-7: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall LOVE (my emphasis) the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Our Lord Christ Jesus, our Savior, came not to destroy this Old Testament Law but to fulfill it by saying in the New Testament, “You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22: 37-39). This is the LOVE Law. When this LOVE Law is at the core of who we are, all the other legal and societal laws are redundant.
Going back to the Book of Deuteronomy, these words were spoken at a time in humanity’s history in which the people made gods out of anything tangible through their human senses. People made gods out of stone, precious metals and even the weather. Can we truly separate ourselves from the Old Testament people….are we so different? Ask yourself what gods you have in your life; retirement funds, bank account, vanity, how many likes and followers you have on social media. Truthfully, anything that takes you away from God The Father is a small god in your life.
Let’s explore 1 John 4: 7-40. I encourage you to read this passage more fully. Specifically focusing on 1 John 4: 7-8, “Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” The Old Testament Commandments were written by the Hand of God on stone tablets, but today those laws are of the imprinted in our very being by God , Our Father, through the our new birth in Holy Spirit of Baptism. Through this birth we are part of God’s family. The Living Bible goes on to say “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us. (1John 4: 12-13). I struggled with understanding what exactly is my purpose in this life, and frankly I still struggle. What I do know is that I want to be a part of God’s family so I need to embody this LOVE law as best as I can.
Now lets be real about this, is this easy for us? Maybe in theory, we nod our heads in agreement. But, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, do you really love God and others? Have you forgotten your love of God Our Father during testing times of illness or financial upsets? Do you love that co-worker who steals your work or makes you miserable? Do you love that family member that has hurt you so deeply that you can’t find all the pieces of your brokenness?
Is this easy…heck no.
Being aware of your anger, hatred or contempt for others is the first step then repeat this mantra: ‘If God loves you, then I love you’. Only then I can rely on God’s mercy and grace to help me the rest of the way.
Conversely, what happens when I choose not to love… and yes it is a choice. The reality of this choice is spoke in 1 John 4: 8, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” My brothers and sister in Christ Jesus, I pray you choose God and His LOVE Law.
